Dear So and So: The Joys of motherhood

Yay!! It's Friday. I have missed dear so and so, in my blog slacking.

Dear So and So...

Dear Smiley #1,

I know that you are more than 1/2 way to the age of infinite knowledge and wisdom (that would be 13, incase you were wondering). However, questioning my motive every time I ask you do something is not the way to gain that knowledge. Now, Go clean your room.

Sincerely,

Because I said so

Dear Smiley #2,

Putting all your clean clothes in the top drawer and leaving it open does not count as putting your clothes away. However, I do recognize progress. Thankyou for not putting them on the floor and telling me they are dirty 2 days later.

Sincerely,

I'm not washing that again

Dear Wii Fit creators,

You are evil tricksy people. You used my embarassment about being beaten by my four year old at your "balance games" to trick me into doing excerises I would never otherwise do. I would threaten to kick your butts, but we both know I can't lift my leg that high right now. Hopefully by this time next week I will be thanking you.

Sincerely,

Ouch!!!

Dear Readers,

Head on over to Kat's place for more Dear so and so fun.

"Because I said so"

Nods vigorously.

My nine year is in tween training.

The primary exercise right now is requiring a 15 page thesis including supporting evidence before considering a request to do stuff he has been doing, without a single wibble, for the last five years.

Is this how we build up resistance in anticipation of the teen years or is it evidence of how they wear our resistance down in preparation for the teen years ?
