The story of a week

Well, it's been a week. I should probably tell you what's new.
I guess we haven't had enough dog drama lately. This last week alone we had Snoopy impounded and Miley got hit by a car. They learned that if they jumped enough they could get out of the back yard. Both dogs once again are safe at home and Ok. By some miracle Miley only has cuts on her leg.
Aside from the dog drama, I haven't been up to much except for the quest to train the anti potty. I think we are finally getting somewhere. He only had 3 accidents today. At the rate we're going he'll be potty trained by middle school for sure. I hope it doesn't take that long.
Ummm yeah. I think that's all. I'm sure there is something I should be doing. Oh yeah!! I almost forgot. Every year since Jade was born, I have driven past the big pile of pumpkins on bluff street and thought that I should go take pictures because it would just be so cute. Usually the day I finally decide I'm going to do it; it rains. This year I actually did it. Nana got the kids cute Halloween clothes, so we went and took pictures today. Yay for me! and Yay for Nana!!!

My poor cats

Rachael made a really cute kitty kit this week. I gathered all my cat photos, and all I can say is, "how do my cats survive my children?" I found pictures of cats wearing bandaids, cats with popsicles, cats being tickled, and cats being carried like suit cases. My poor kitties!!

I stand accused...

My husband was watching me scrapbook the other day. He asked me, "Why don't you ever scrapbook Caibo?" I was really upset. How dare he accuse me of favoring one child over the other when I scrapbook. In an attempt to defend myself, I looked to see how many layouts I have of each kid. Here is what I found:
I have done 210 Jade layouts, 40 layouts of Jason and Becky's wedding (I needed 30 I lost 10 in an unfortunate event involving a loss of brain power), 3 layouts of the dogs, and 13 Caibo layouts. I guess at least I have more layouts of Caibo than the dogs.
So, Jerry was totally right, and in an attempt to make it better. Here are 3 new Caibo layouts, which brings the grand total up to 16.

Is it even possible?

I went back to the DMV today, because we also needed to register my husband's truck. I had such a great experience last time, I was prepared for the worst. After all, what are the chances of 2 good DMV experiences in a row? I guess pretty good. Today, we went in got the number, and had our number called before we could even sit down. I was in, out, and on my way in 5 minutes. I actually checked the time because I was in such shock.
Well, that's all I have to say. I have a Super Why costume to make.

It's a DMV miracle!!

I just have to share this because I am so amazed. I went to register my van today (which I was actually supposed to do in July. Yes, I am the queen of procrastination). I decided that it needed to be done before I got pulled over and had it impounded. I'm just thinking the idea of that just does not sound fun at all. Anyways, I drove clear out to the DMV. (Why did they move it to Hurricane anyway?) I walked in got my number, waited like five minutes, spent another like 5 minutes registering the van, and then left. If that is not a miracle, I do not know what is.
One more thing that has nothing to do with the DMV. I decided on a whim to clean my bath tub today. My reward was, "Mom, Caibo is cleaning the toilet with my shampoo!" I guess at least he was trying to help.

The last week of Design It! (and a freebie)

This was the last week of the Design It! Contest at DAC. It's been quite a process for me. I've learned a lot, and I would like to think that I am better at designing now.
This week our challenge was to create something that could be placed in the store. We were allowed to do whatever we wanted as far as theme, color, and what was included in the kit.
Since I think I have gotten better at designing, I took a second try at a theme I was working with before the contest.
This is a love kit based on the colors of my borther-in-law's wedding. Everything is brand-new, and much much better than what I made the first time.
If you want the kit it is available over at DAC in the secret forum (you need to be registered and have 5 posts to see it). Also, please vote for me.

Here are some layouts I made with pictures from the wedding. At the rate I am going I might actually finish their wedding album in time for Christmas. Yay!

And because I like you, I took a couple of the better things from the old kit and a couple of things that wouldn't fit into the new kit and made a little freebie add-on.
