Scrapbooking in the dark.
Yesterday we went and bought a new monitor, because it had to be done (I had a little tiny monitor and it kept turning itself off) and with the black Friday sales we got a great deal. It turns out the size and turning itself off thing weren't it's only problems. It was also really dark. So now, I can see everything as it really is. I have all ready learned that Rachael doesn't design as many black pages as I thought (She has probably been wondering why I pick such odd paper combinations sometimes), everything I have thought was red was really pink, that color swatch in the contest that I thought was mostly purple wasn't, and I do not know what else I'll discover. Now I just have to figure out how to find out if this monitor is too bright.

The language of Caibo
Caibo is finally at that stage where he is talking well enough that the most interesting things come out of his mouth. This is mostly for me, so I can look back and tell him about it someday. He does say some funny stuff though. I just hope I can remember it all now.
His two favorite things are his "Bucca" (sippy cup) and his "flanky" (blanket). I don't know why he calls the cup a bucca, but I have been corrected by him for calling it a sippy cup.
Any time he burps he says "I must be hungy." He even started asking people if the are "Hungy" after they burp.
He is not a fan of the "vac-eee-yume" he thinks it is going to get him.
He is a big backseat driver. He has told me "Stop it's red" "It's green you can go" "Go that way" I'm sure there is more.
He believes all things green belong to him, mostly green lights. If he is not telling me I can go he proclaims "It's my green!!"
We asked he where his underwear were one day. He replied, "I flushed it."
He came out of the bathroom one day and reported, "I flushed it the soap"
It doesn't matter if we are standing by a man or woman. He will say, "Excuse me sir. My names is Caibo"
When someone is hurt or sad he will ask them "You Ok allright?"
I'm pretty sure there is more. I knew I wouldn't be able to remember it all now. I'll just have to add them as I remember.

A Christmas layout or two
I admit it. I am one of those people that whine and groan when all the Christmas stuff comes out the day after Halloween, so when Rachael did a Christmas kit I was less than thrilled. However working with all the Christmas stuff got me remembering our past Christmases which helped me feel the Christmas spirit. I am excited about the Christmas stuff now, but I am still restraining myself from decorating the house at least for another week.
My family tree (finally)
A long time ago I was inspired to make a family tree starting with my children and going back as far as I could. I figured it would be cool for them to see where they come from. I started working on it, and was amazed at what I found. It is one thing to do a family tree with names and something totally different to use pictures. It was fun to look at the pictures and see the resemblances between my children and my great grand parents, or my grandparents and my siblings. I had forgotten about the project until one day I got a call from my husband's aunt. She said she had read the e-mail I had sent out and was inspired to put something together. She sent me a package of pictures and Wow! I was so excited. Anyways, here is the beginning of what is turning out to be a pretty big and exciting project.

Yes, I am a slacker.
Ok, So I have been totally slacking about my blog. In my defense, I have a cold, but that is not much of an excuse. To make up for my slacking (and because I committed to do it) I have 3 QPs for you. For these QPs I used the Kit Holiday Traditions from DAC. This kit is a free gift with a purchase of $10. You can get the kit HERE.
