I had an awesome and mostly uneventful Birthday. It started yesterday when my mom took me out to lunch. We went to the Mongolian BBQ, and my kids were the best they have ever been in a restaurant. If you have ever been out to eat with my kids, you know what I mean. We're thinking it's the chop sticks.
On the way to lunch we had to stop at the bank and pick up a check. I sold a puppy!!! I decided to check to see when my checking to savings transaction takes place, because I had no money and wasn't really interested in having an overdraft fee. The teller couldn't figure out why I was so concerned. I told her that I had no money. She looked at me like I was crazy. It turns out Jerry got paid. Hooray! I can pay my bills and buy food.
I had to work last night and this morning. My brother-in-law was kind enough to take both of my kids overnight. Because I had no kids, I got to go to the grocery store by myself last night.
Today I went to work. We get our shipments on Sunday, so my job is usually to hold down the store until they are done with shipment. About noon, the truck driver finally called. She had just barely left Las Vegas. She wasn't even going to be there until 2:30. I was scheduled to go home at 2. That meant that there was pretty much no point in me being there, so they let me go home 2 hours early.
I tried to call my brother-in-law to get my kids, but they were still at church. I went home and got to watch grown up TV (you know, the kind that's not animated).
I got lots of birthday wishes. Thank you everyone!!
The best and funniest part was when I got to talk to Jerry. He asked some other dude how much time he had left to talk. He was told about a minute. He was quite, so I said "this is the part where you tell me happy birthday" He had totally forgotten my birthday, but I'm not mad. I would forget it too if I was at boot camp.
Tomorrow my mother-in-law is taking us to dinner. I'm very excited, and I'm thinking maybe we should take some chop stick to entertain the kids.

Until you have kids you have no idea what a treat it is to go to the store all by yourself!! Kids are great, but sometimes moms just need to think!!
